After you have selected the DICOM images you wish to de-identify and made any changes to the DICOM tags highlighted in red, Trial Wire displays the modified tags, with the old values crossed out along side the new ones displayed. You can use the "Print" button at the top of this window to display this information in printable format in a web browser window. If you print out and sign this sheet, it provides a paper-based audit trail of the de-identification, which you can store in the imaging department where the images were collected.

If you ever need to establish what the Patient Name was for scans you have de-identified, you can recover this information from the audit trail sheet.  Since the audit trail is displayed in a web browser window, you can also store it electronically.
