Use Trial Wire to transfer, de-identify and sort your DICOM filesDifferent functions can be performed depending on how Trial Wire is configured.
1. Transfer DICOM files Transfer files from your computer to a destination directory on an FTP
server. If you only require to de-identify or organize the data, a Local
Directory on your computer can be set as a destination directory. For example, the local directory can be C:\My
Documents
2. De-identify DICOM files Automatically or manually de-identify/re-label specific META data fields in the DICOM files. The following fields can be modified:
- Patient’s name
- Patient ID
- Patient’s Birth Date
- Bulk de-identification to a number of fields
that may contain identifying information
3. Sort DICOM files
Copy files on your computer or organize files in the destination
directory to:
- Reflect the source directory
- Impose a flat structure and create a DICOMDIR file
- Impose a subject/study/series hierarchy
4. Audit Trail Keep a full audit trail at your site of all changes that are made to the
DICOM files while being safe in the knowledge that Patient Identifying
Information does not leave your site.
